Welcome to Yearly Meeting 18 July 2026

If you think it doesn't seem very long since the last Yearly Meeting session then you are right! We have now started our new pattern of holding Yearly Meeting sessions, which means that following our May 2026 session we are also meeting in July and November 2026. In 2027 we will meet in February, May, July and November.

From now on, one session each year will be held outside London – and in July 2026 we will be in Manchester. You can also attend Yearly Meeting online each time.

The next Yearly Meeting session will be on Saturday 18 July 2026 for one day. Agenda Planning Committee is finalising the agenda. At this stage we expect to spend time together on:

  • new forms of belonging and membership – can we find a pathway to membership for Quakers whose primary community is online or non-geographic?
  • an introduction to reparation – what might this mean for Quakers in Britain?
  • considering how your Quaker community can engage with and influence the Yearly Meeting agenda in future
  • holding a meeting for worship to hold in the Light those suffering for their faith
  • the full agenda and papers for the July Yearly Meeting session will be available on 3 July 2026 on the Yearly Meeting website. You can also find out more in the next edition of Hope So!

There will be an online preparation session on 9 July at 7pm – this is now bookable on Sched. More details about this session will be shared on Sched nearer the time.

You can book to attend July's session of Yearly Meeting online or in Manchester. If you registered for the May session then you can see how to add the July session to your schedule on Sched and if you don't have Sched then you can fill in a new registration form.

There will be programmes for children and young people and you can book onto them using the dedicated form on the bookings page. Please be aware that bookings for those programmes will close on 29 June 2026.

The venue in Manchester is Kings House (offsite link). Directions and venue information are on the Yearly Meeting bookings page. Kings House is a short walk from Manchester Oxford Road station (less than 10 minutes) and around 20 minutes' walk from Manchester Piccadilly station. We will be meeting on the second floor, which is accessible by stairs and lift. Please arrive in good time to get checked in and make your way up to the meeting room.

Information on how to pre-book catering will be available soon.

Whether you have been to Yearly Meeting before or not, you are warmly invited to join us!
