In the 1600s Swarthmoor Hall (offsite link) was the home of Margaret Fell, Judge Thomas Fell and George Fox. At this time it became the headquarters of the Quakers. The Hall is often described as 'the cradle of the Quaker movement'.
With its tranquil location and rich history, the Hall is popular with visitors. Both Quakers and non-Quakers enjoy exploring the house and gardens. There are also regular courses and retreats held at the Hall throughout the year.
