QWRC 22 November 2025
Quaker World Relations Committee (QWRC) met online.
What is this committee responsible for?
Quaker World Relations Committee (QWRC) helps Britain Yearly Meeting keep in contact with other Quaker meetings and groups abroad, understand their witness, communicate ours, and maintain mutual support. QWRC liaises with the global Friends World Committee for Consultation (FWCC), and in particular with its Europe and Middle East Section.
What did it do at this meeting?
We received a report about the work of the Quaker Council for European Affairs from its director Andrew de Sousa and an update on Friends House Moscow from Daphne Sanders.
This is the time of year we start to write reports of our work, and look ahead to next year. This includes changes of membership of our committee.
In May 2026, we are expecting to welcome members of the FWCC Central Executive Committee to Britain. We are excited to learn that Middle East Yearly Meeting is planning to meet in April 2026, for the first time for many years.
How can I find out more?
You can watch the FWCC World Plenary Meeting film.
Please keep an eye on the QWRC page of the Quakers in Britain website.
