Agenda Planning Committee finalises agenda for Yearly Meeting, 18th July 2026, to be held in Manchester
What is this committee responsible for?
Agenda Planning Committee is responsible for planning the agenda for Yearly Meeting sessions from now onwards. From this year, Britain Yearly Meeting will hold up to four Yearly Meeting sessions per year, one of which will be a multi-day event. Any Quaker in Britain can register to attend - Yearly Meeting 2026 | Quakers in Britain. Agenda Planning Committee has been working since June 2025 to prepare for the transition to the new system for Yearly Meetings.
What did it do at this meeting?
In May 2026, APC finalised the Agenda for Yearly Meeting in July 2026. This will be published, along with papers, on 3rd June. Additionally, APC agreed updated processes for recognition and renewal of Quaker Recognised Bodies, considered how best to engage with Local and Area meetings, continued discussion with the Book of Discipline Revision Committee and the Reparation Working Group, and appointed an evaluation group.
