Quakers in Britain have become the first major religious body to be awarded the Pay Compare Mark.
The mark is awarded to employers who disclose the gap between their highest and lower paid workers on the Pay Compare website.

To mark Human Rights Day on 10 December, Quakers in Britain have sent a plea to the Prime Minister to drop the government's commitment to 'scrap' the Human Rights Act. This move signifies their centuries-long history of standing up for human rights and for working for peace and justice.

World Council of Churches associate general secretary, Prof. Dr Isabel Apawo Phiri, has been interrogated and refused entry to Israel. She was on her way to attend consultations with church leaders in Jerusalem, on the Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme in Palestine and Israel (EAPPI).
