Resilient Communities: Community Transformation

19 March 2025, Online

Join us for the second of two sessions exploring Cultures of Care. This session expands on our theme within the wider community context, asking how we can proactively create, nurture and maintain the foundations that support witness in our communities.

Each session is designed to stand alone, though participating in both offers a deeper, more connected experience.

Together, these two sessions invite us to reflect on what it means to cultivate resilient, caring cultures both outwardly, within our communities, and inwardly, to resource ourselves.

In this second session, we'll begin by revisiting insights from the first session on inner transformation and sharing what has emerged from practicing these approaches in daily life. How have they helped you rediscover resilience and deepen your spiritual self-care?

We'll reflect on how inner work supports our actions in the world, allowing them to emerge in embodied, heartfelt ways.

  • How does this inner work express itself and shape our Quaker communities?
  • Can we strengthen ourselves and our meetings to become resources for one another and the wider community?
  • What helps us build resilience, create a welcoming environment, and make space for all to bring forward their gifts?
  • We'll also explore what Quakers uniquely offer to this space - in terms of personal practices to ground and centre ourselves, and what can we learn from other traditions to enhance our wellbeing and sustain our involvement in what matters to us. We look forward to welcoming you to this timely exploration!
