Preparations for Quaker week in full swing with in person events and social media action from 28 September

Every year in Quaker Week, Quaker communities think more actively about how to welcome new people and share their faith. This year there are plenty of friendly online and in person events planned for people who are curious about Quakers to come and find out more.

Quakers communities are planning events to welcome new people and share their faith in Quaker week.

Quaker Week runs from 28 September to 6 October 2024 and the theme this year is 'Simple. Radical. Spiritual.' again. Quaker communities up and down the country are showcasing how their simple radical faith forms part of their daily lives and helps them work for change.

In Abingdon, Quakers are getting ready to host open celebrations for George Fox's 400th Birthday which will involve a short talk, cake and a chance to experience meeting for worship. Central England Quakers are planning a wide variety of events from campfire meetings to film screenings and much more besides.

Woodbrooke are hosting 'The Start of the Quaker Way: Fox 400', an online course to explore the beginnings of the Quaker movement.
