In these days of political turmoil Quakers in Britain are inviting two Quaker politicians to their Yearly Meeting Gathering to explore how faith and politics can change the world.

The famous Quaker Tapestry is a modern stitched masterpiece in storytelling. Part of it is being exhibited in Friends House in London. It was last in the capital over 20 years ago.

A treaty to rid the world of nuclear weapons was formally adopted today at the United Nations.
Quaker observers hailed the historic treaty as a huge step, saying such weapons of mass destruction should be illegal and unacceptable.
