What Have We Learned From Fox at 400?
5 April 2025, Online
In 2024, many Quaker communities responded to the 400th anniversary of the birth of George Fox with events, discussions, and commemorations. This conference will ask what we learned about ourselves and our future as well as about Fox and our history.
Invited speakers including Tim Gee of the Friends World Committee for Consultation will reflect on the response to Fox at 400. There will be chances to reflect on what worked well and what might be useful in future as well as any mistakes or missed opportunities. How do we use elements of our past to inform our present and build our future?
Everyone is welcome to this event. It may be of particular interest to those involved in planning or running events, those involved in creating publications about Quakers, those involved in Quaker education and Quaker Studies research, and those involved in Quaker outreach.
