Quakers in Bolivia: A History to the Present

This course offers an introduction to the history of Quakerism in Bolivia, exploring the origins of the Religious Society of Friends and the evolution of the faith within the Bolivian context, particularly among Indigenous communities.
The course highlights the contributions of the Quaker community in Bolivia, with particular attention to the work and leadership of young Quakers through the Friends International Bilingual Center. Throughout the course, participants will engage with the perspectives and lived experiences of local Friends and consider the ongoing presence and significance of Quakerism in Bolivian society today.
