International Conscientious Objectors' Day 2026

Commemorating International Conscientious Objectors' Day, remembering all those, past and present, who refused to kill.
The event will take place at the Conscientious Objectors' Memorial Stone in the gardens of Tavistock Square. There will be speakers, testimonies from current conscientious objectors, singing and the laying of white carnations on the stone. Seating will be available on a first-come-first served basis. The event is organised by Quakers in Britain, Peace Pledge Union, War Resisters' International, the Fellowship of Reconciliation and several other peace and faith groups.
